K-9 Training Center

In partnership with Jordan Detection K-9, our barn serves to train electronic scent detection dogs to assist in identifying potential child victims of sex trafficking and abuse.

The Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received 7,600 tips last year.

Yet the number is steadily rising every day.

The K-9 Training Barn is made possible through a generous donation from Operation Underground Railroad.

PROJECT PUPS

PAWS UNLEASHING POTENTIAL

Our K-9 Training Program also offers Hope Center residents the opportunity to learn valuable skills, such as dog training and grooming. These skills can be helpful to our residents as they work on their transition back into their communities.

Poppy, an almost one-year-old red fox lab, and her caretaker, Bree Cooper, stroll through the halls of the Hope Center. She is an emotional support dog, and always on hand to give the Hope Center residents a hug!
"Sometimes, if something has happened and a resident is upset, the case managers or the residential technicians will call me and say, hey can you bring Poppy for a couple minutes. I’ll take Poppy in and she’ll play or cuddle with them.” ~Bree
