Human Trafficking 101 is an engaging and interactive experience. It is primarily an awareness and prevention training that includes many real- life examples of trafficked people.

About the event

The training gives a description of human trafficking and how people are preyed upon.  The brutal methods traffickers use to keep women and children under their control are also explored. In the final segment, participants are given numerous ways they can join the fight to end this evil in their own city. The training also includes information about the Take Heart Residential Program at the Hope Center. 

Learning Objectives:

1.        Participants will be able to give a definition and description of Human Trafficking.

2.       Participants will be able to recite a list of factors that make certain populations easier to be preyed upon by traffickers.

3.       Participants will be able to describe methods used by traffickers to keep people under their control.   

4.       Participants will be able to share with others about the Take Heart Residential Program.
