God Used You

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here I am. Send me!’” - Isaiah 6:8 

To those who said those words to the Lord in 2025, “Here I am. Send me!” We are eternally grateful. We recognize that in 2025, God used you to answer many of our prayers for Hope Center Indy. 

In moments where a survivor was in crisis, your support opened the door to safety. In 2025, God used you to provide 3,558 safe nights for women in crisis through our Short-Term and Long-Term Take Heart Residential Programs. 

God’s care was made visible through you in our Adopt a Room ministry, where 11 rooms and spaces were lovingly renovated for our residents in 2025. The Adopt a Room ministry is a beautiful and tangible representation of Christ’s love and care for each one of His daughters. 

Many of you said “send me” to volunteer. In 2025, you helped to record 17,856 volunteer hours. We know how precious time is, and we are so grateful for your heart to surrender that time to Christ to work for His Kingdom. In addition to the 17,856 volunteer hours, 80 volunteer groups came to serve on campus. For many of these groups, they came to be the hands and feet of Jesus. However, for other groups, this may have been an introduction to the gospel at work. We thank you for your support in allowing us to be a mission field to many. 

Through volunteerism, not only did you bless our residents and staff here at the Hope Center, but God used your efforts for a much larger impact. In 2025, our food pantry received 645,897 pounds of food to provide warm meals at the Hope Center and distribute to those in need throughout our city. In 2025, our wonderful kitchen staff and volunteers served 6,443 meals to residents, staff, and volunteers. To all of our 2025 volunteers, we pray that you always remember: God Used You! 

In 2025, God touched the hearts of 300 individuals, churches, and businesses to become new donors to Hope Center Indy. Our team was humbled by each new donation we saw come in, and we hope you know that God used you to strengthen our faith and sustain the mission here. 

You may not feel that you are serving the Lord when you are shopping or getting a coffee, but we want you to know that every time you step through our doors, God uses you. In 2025, 11 survivors cumulatively earned 7,231 gainful employment hours through our Redefined businesses. God used your support so that 11 survivors were able to learn new skills, build confidence, and earn a savings that will help them transition from the Hope Center when that time comes. 

It is humbling to consider the plan God has for each of our lives and how, when we are willing, He uses us to grow His Kingdom. Even so much as using K9s to bring down some of the most powerful perpetrators. In 2025, God used Jordan Detection K9 to train 78 ESD K9s on Hope Center Indy’s campus. To those who support our K9 program, please know that God used your support to train dogs that will on average save one child every single day. 

Most importantly, God uses us to bring others to Christ. As a supporter of Hope Center Indy, God used you to bring the gospel to all survivors who came through our doors, while 7 of them responded by choosing to be baptized this year. We rejoice knowing that these women will never be taken from the love of Jesus Christ, and God used you to bring His profound grace, mercy, and love to them.
