Hope Center Indy is committed to a trauma informed, holistic approach to supporting women survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. It recognizes that true restoration involves more than just shelter, it requires a healing process that nurtures the whole person: physical, emotional, and spiritual. Through faith in Jesus Christ, Hope Center Indy provides women the opportunity to rediscover their inherent worth, purpose, and identity as they embark on their journey of restoration.
A central component of Hope Center Indy's approach to healing is spiritual growth. True healing is rooted in the restoration of the soul. True healing comes through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Through faith-based mentoring, prayer, and community support, survivors are invited to experience God’s unconditional love, forgiveness, and hope. For many survivors, this is their first encounter with God's love. The survivors are not forced to embrace faith but are gently encouraged to explore it at their own pace, in a way that feels right for them.
Survivors are welcomed by the Prayer Tunnel, a colorful, light-filled path that leads to the Prayer Center. It is adorned with wooden plaques engraved with the names of churches that support Hope Center Indy. The Prayer Tunnel is a visual reminder of the unity of the faith community surrounding the survivors. It is often the first tangible experience of God's presence for many survivors, offering them a sense of support and belonging. More than just an entryway, the Prayer Tunnel serves as a powerful symbol of God’s work at Hope Center Indy, inviting survivors into a community of prayer and healing.
The Prayer Center is a serene, peaceful space located on the Hope Center Indy campus. It is designed to nurture reflection, faith, hope, and transformation through Christ. The Prayer Center offers survivors, staff, and volunteers a place to come together for prayer, worship, and intercession. It is here that the healing of the soul begins, as survivors connect with their true identity in Christ and discover their purpose. In this sacred space, survivors experience more than just emotional and physical restoration; they encounter the spiritual healing that can only come through God. The Prayer Center provides a refuge where survivors can be reminded of their worth in Christ, creating an opportunity for deep and lasting transformation.

For survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation, trust, safety, and identity have often been shattered. A dedicated space for prayer and reflection, such as the Prayer Center, is critical to the healing process. It offers survivors a consistent, quiet refuge where healing can begin at the soul level. They encounter God's presence in a way that brings clarity, comfort, and hope, something that may not always be found through therapy or other means of support. The Prayer Center is a tangible expression of the belief that healing is not just physical or emotional, it is spiritual. Through the Prayer Center, survivors are invited to reconnect with their identity as beloved children of God and begin to heal from the inside out.
Yet, this sacred space is not just for survivors. It also provides a vital resource for staff and volunteers, who can pause and recharge spiritually amid the important work they do, ensuring they can continue their ministry with compassion, grace, and renewed strength.
At its core, Hope Center Indy seeks to bring hope, healing, and holistic restoration not only to survivors of trafficking and exploitation, but to every person who sets foot on campus. Through unified prayer, every decision, action, and interaction is rooted in God’s love, ensuring that each individual at Hope Center Indy is treated with compassion, grace, and dignity. By lifting one another in prayer, the community at Hope Center Indy strengthens its ability to respond to challenges with empathy and understanding, keeping the focus on God’s healing power throughout the restoration process.
We believe healing is deeply rooted in a relationship with Jesus Christ. It is through Christ that survivors are able to restore their identity, seeing themselves as loved, valued, and chosen.
“The Prayer Center gave me room to breathe and find Jesus in the stillness. It reminds me that in the quiet God speaks and my heart listens. It is here that I heard Him again.” -Hope Center Indy Graduate
The work of Hope Center Indy relies on the generous support of individuals, organizations, and churches who share in the mission of healing and restoration. Over the years, local churches, such as the Community Church of Greenwood and Brandywine Community Church have led worship at the weekly evening service in the Prayer Center, which has been a great blessing to residents and staff. It truly takes a community to come alongside survivors in their journey of healing. And whether through prayer, financial donations, or volunteering, every gift matters in helping provide survivors with the opportunity to experience true restoration, as well as a future filled with hope, purpose, and the love of Christ.
“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
